Teaching Method

The Cortot Method for piano teaching, developed by the renowned French pianist and pedagogue Alfred Cortot, emphasizes a comprehensive approach that combines technical skill development with musical expressiveness. Cortot's method includes rigorous finger exercises, practice routines, and interpretative techniques designed to enhance a pianist's technical abilities while fostering a deep understanding of musical phrasing, dynamics, and artistry. His focus on the psychological aspects of piano playing aims to integrate physical and mental discipline, helping students to play with both dexterity and emotional depth.
